Bison Burger

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground bison (buffalo)

  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper

  • 1 teaspoon onion powder

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1 teaspoon paprika

  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley

  • 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper

  • 1-2 Large sweet potatoes

  • Dijon mustard

  • optional toppings: tomato, lettuce, avocado, onion, or any other favorite toppings

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Slice sweet potatoes 1/4 inch thick and place on a lined baking sheet.

  2. Bake sweet potatoes for 30 minutes, or until tender.

  3. Preheat the grill. While the grill heats up combine all the ingredients for the burgers in a large bowl. Then shape into 4 patties.

  4. Place the patties on the grill and cook for about 4 minutes each side.

  5. When both the sweet potatoes and burgers are done, place one sweet potato slice on a plate and add Dijon mustard along with lettuce, tomato, or any other topping you would like. Then add the burger and top with another sweet potato slice.
